God has recalled home one of His great souls – Our loss is heaven’s gain. Arlene always had her caring arms open wide for anyone, anytime, a trait possessed by fewer and fewer in today’s world. Arlene, may you rest in peace until we see you again.

  23. Aunt Arleen, some of my favorite childhood memories come from weekends at your house with my cousins. I know my love of the Dawgs comes from you. I was 12 before I realized being a UGA cheerleader was not an occupation. I’m lucky to be your namesake and we all know it gave me SPECIAL ranking. I wouldn’t change it for anything. I love you and will always cherish the memories I have.

  24. Arleen’s warmth and sweet gentle presence were a shining light in our neighborhood and everywhere she went. She was smart, funny, and kind. I always enjoyed her quick wit and funny observations. She was a loving person with a heart of gold. To Jackie, may you be comforted by memories of your many good times together and by the love and support of your many friends..

  25. Sorry to hear about your loss it’s always hard when losing someone we love acts 24:15 helps us to appreciate that there will be a ressurection and soon we will be reunited with our loved ones again my thoughts and prayers are with your family

  29. Arleen was such an energetic and fun travel companion. Enjoyed her company many times with the United Community Bank travel club. Always friendly and smiling. Will miss her but know she is in a good place.

  30. Arleen was one of a kind. There is no one out there like Arleen. She was employed by the first law firm where I worked right out of law school. I always say I was trained by Arleen. Everybody laughs but it is really true. Arleen knew more about law than most attorneys. She did not hold back. If it was on her mind she said it.
Nobody can replace her and she will be very missed. Ed and I both loved you and you will always have a special place in our hearts.

    Penny and Edward Furr

  31. Arleen was unique. She was a loving, kind woman who will be missed by so many people. I will keep Arleen’s family, especially Jackie in my thoughts and prayers.

  33. Harry and I have great memories of you and Jackie on the cruise to Alaska….Great fun!! sharing food, drink, and laughter……
God Bless you Arlene….. Your loving Spirit will be greatly missed…..

  34. So sorry to hear the loss of Arleen today by Jackie. To the family my thoughts and condolences to you . I really enjoyed your Mum visiting with me and shared her travels, concerts and her life. She was a pleasure to be round and absolutley glad to know her.

  35. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. We know Ben but did not have the chance to meet his mom. Ben and Caitlin are special friends so “mom” must have been pretty special too! One day we can all get together and catch up in one of those “rooms”. I know this to be true because of this truth in John 14:2-3 “There are many rooms in my Father’s home and I am going to prepare a place for you. If this were not so I would tell you plainly. When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.”

  36. We are sorry to lose one of our favorite neighbors. Thoughts and prayers to Jackie and family.

  37. Arleen always could light up a room … she was the only person who could match the charisma of Jackie … and the only person worthy of Jackie’s love. If you knew Arlene, even briefly, you loved her.
    Leslie Allen

  38. Arleen was a treasure. Betty Jo and I became neighbors with Jackie and Arleen in 2013. One of the first people we met was Arleen. She was out chasing woodpeckers away from her home. I later learned woodpeckers cause a lot of damage to homes in this area. I also learned Arleen was a Dawg fan, a Braves fan and she was an amazing neighbor. I just learned about her passing. I was in the hospital at the time of her passing. She will definitely be missed. She will always be loved. Until we meet again, goodbye my friend.
