Charles W. McGiboney age 78 of Loganville went home to be with the Lord on March 10, 2018. Charles graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. He began his career with the Federal Highway Administration in 1965 and retired as the Assistant Division Administrator after 32 years of service. He later worked for the City of Roswell and Rockdale County and then started McGiboney Consultant Company. Charles was currently working for Barrow County. Chuck a Godly man, began serving as an ordained Deacon in 1972. He loved his family most of all and was a “get it done kind of man”. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Margie McGiboney; sons, Ed McGiboney and his wife Eva of Chesapeake, VA, Steve McGiboney and his wife Pam, Loganville; sister, Shirley Bryant, Houston, TX; grandchildren, Traci McGiboney, Aaron & Tonya Roach and Kimberly Roach. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held Tuesday March 13, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel. Burial will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Gardens. Pastor Butch Butcher will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00 -2:00 P.M. at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy. Lawrenceville, GA 30046. 770-277-4550.

  14. It was indeed a great blessing working with Charles during his time with the City of Conyers. Please remember there is a Devine Plain for each and everyone of us and I truly believe God said to Charles, Come on home, Come on home Job well done Job well done.
