Enid Tullis Willis, 99, of Lilburn Georgia passed away quietly in her sleep on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Sunrise Senior Living facility. She was born on August 29, 1919 in Jamaica West Indies in the town of Grange Hill, Parish of Westmoreland, at the end of WWI to the late William Edward Tullis and Mable Scott.
She later migrated to England where she married A. T. Karram and had a daughter, Rhema. Tommy Karram was lost at sea during WWII while in the service of the British Merchant Marines. In 1944 Enid married Jackson P. Willis Jr., a young sergeant from Kentucky who was stationed in London during WWII. They married in London and after the war settled in Evansville, IN where they raised Rhema and five more children. Enid worked at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville as unit secretary on the maternity ward where she retired after 35 years of service. She also served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years at St. John’s Catholic Church in Evansville, IN
Enid enjoyed international travel, knitting, crocheting, and reading. She was also an expert seamstress.
Enid is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Jackson P. Willis Jr.; and a daughter, Janeen Walker of California.
Survivors include her children, Rhema Spencer (husband Harvard) of Duluth, GA, Michelle “Mitch” Willis (wife Sheila) of Stone Mountain, GA, Patricia Joseph of Lawrenceville, GA, Phillip Willis of San Clemente, CA, Kevin Willis (wife Dana) of Auburn, AL; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
Enid was a long time member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceville, GA. Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul Donations may be mailed to:

Our hearts are saddened in the passing of Ms. Enid. Yet there must be a great reunion in the heavens as God’s Children enjoy the presence of each other with our Saviour Jesus Christ. He makes all things complete.

Enid was such a talented lady, she was in my sewing class in Evansville and our class had a lot of fun together. I am so glad I got to stay in contact with her through her son Mitch. My prayers to the family and until we meet again Enid.
I remember Enid from working with her at St. Marys in Evansville, Indiana. She was smiling and patient. Always willing to help in any way. I do remember her sewing skill. I have thought of her often since her retirement. Please accept my sincere sympathy. We called her Willie . Thanks for sharing Mom with us.
I knew you such a short time, yet I felt like I knew you forever. You were so much fun to be with. Your children were so very nice to the three of us who sat with you for our meals. And so funny that you would love us in return. You loved your children so much. We will miss you and your family!
I am very sad to hear of the passing of Mrs. Enid Willis. May her soul rest in peace, may the angels hold her hands and may God bless her to eternity. May God bless and protect her family.
I send my love and condolences to the family. I always enjoyed my visits with Mrs. Willis whenever I would return to Evansville, IN to visit my mom and dad. Our visits would consist of catching up on family news, flowers, sewing, and her latest computer skill.
We were all like family in our close-knit neighborhood.
She was always so welcoming and so very kind and doting to my parents.
I feel so blessed to have known Enid Willis.

Enid was a beautiful, kindhearted,spirited lady. I met her in the tax office when she first moved to Lawrenceville. I have done her taxes ever since. She was just a joy to know. I remember going to her house to pick up her tax info after she had fallen. We had a very nice visit. She talked mostly about her late husband and children with lots of pride. She will be missed but Heaven has a new angel watching over us.
Mrs Willis was such a kind person but busy, she had such wisdom that made us laugh. Most of the time she was telling us something about ourselves. I was always going to the Willis house so I saw her and Mr Willis everyday that was my second family.
I love you all, my prayers go out for all of you.
My heart was broken when I heard of your passing Mrs. Willis. You will be missed. We will miss you and we love you to the moon and back. Rest easy and I will see you on the other side one of these days.

Aunt Enid is someone we will never forget. She taught us Kindness, Patience, Caring and most of all Love. She was always in our hearts and there she will be for eternity. Goodbye is not forever nor is it the end. It simply means we miss you; until we meet again in the New World.
Grace & Peace be multiplied!!! There is something about a mother’s love that goes deeper than the ocean and higher than the tallest mountain. You all had a great mom I know because I grew up around her heart & soul. She had so much wisdom and charisma! I look forward to seeing her again on the other side from this veil of tears! Aunt Enid blessed us with her loving friendship, warmth and wisdom. Her courage, resilience and sense of humor encouraged us, and her grace and strong faith inspired us. She is always and forever in our hearts.
