She follows her loving husband, Andrew Folio II to whom she was married for sixty years.A native of Woodruff, SC, she spent the majority of her life in Greenville, SC where she was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and also a very big supporter of the Monastery of St. Clare; after whom she named her daughter, Clare. She is survived by her sons Andy and Steve Folio of Atlanta, her loving daughter-in-law Diane Folio (Atlanta), her daughter Clare Folio Morris in Columbia, her granddaughters Andrea Folio Jannack (Woodruff, SC), Lori Coyne and Stephanie Christian in Atlanta. Her grandsons James Monroe Morris V (Roe) and Andrew Kevin Morris both of New York, NY; her great granddaughter Jessica Jannack of Woodruff, SC, Ali Coyne and Katie Christian and great grandson Evan Christian of Atlanta. “I remember playing bingo with her and my grandfather when I was little. And in every game, she would bend the rules slightly so that I would win a prize,” said Andrew Morris. She loved to travel, play Bridge, and garden. She very much enjoyed music, especially the piano and loved to hear her grandson, Andrew play for her. Because of her commitment of working with those less fortunate, the family is asking for donations in honor of her memory to be made to Light the Way SC – a concert series in Columbia, SC that benefits the homeless. Please make checks out to Light the Way SC C/o Sam Johnson, 1019 Gregg St. Apt 1017, Columbia, SC 29201. In dying the way she lived, Virginia requested that in lieu of a funeral she wanted her family to go out to dinner and tell funny stories about her.
