Leon Cleveland Adams, 79 of Lawrenceville passed away on April 12, 2011. Leon was a Past Master and member of Lawrenceville Masonic Lodge #131 and a Noble in the Yaarab Temple Shrine. He was a supervisor at General Motors in their water testing division. He also served as a special deputy for Gwinnett County during the '70s. Mr. Adams was of the Baptist faith and attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, James & Ethel Adams; sisters, Kathryn Adams and Lillie Mae Johnson and brothers, Clifford Adams and John Otis Adams. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Eva Adams; daughters and sons in law, Shirley and Doug Dillard of Baldwin and Joyce and Mike Brannan of Snellville; grandchildren, Jacque Dillard, Chip and Cynda Dillard, Jay and Andrea Dillard, Marty Brannan, Mark and Melissa Vickery; great grandchildren, Luke and Audrey Grace Dillard and Tyler and Lyndsey Vickery. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel with Pastor Scott Cramer and Jay Dillard officiating. Interment will be at Gwinnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2:00pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway, Lawrenceville, 770-277-4550.
