Mrs. Ann Steed Minter, 85, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018. Mrs. Minter was the daughter of the late Clifton and Olive Camp Steed and was born in Jacksonville, Florida. Ann was the beloved wife of (the late) Reverend John M. Minter for 65 years. Mrs. Minter attended Florida State University and worked as a teacher for a number of years. Ann also spent over forty years serving (in various roles) in churches in the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church while her husband served as pastor. Mrs. Minter was a longtime member of the United Methodist Women. Ann was the mother of 4 sons, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Mrs. Minter was predeceased by her husband (John) and two sons; John David Minter (Sue) of Tifton, Ga. and Steve M. Minter (Becky) of Statham, Ga. Mrs. Minter is survived by her son J. Mark Minter (Dee) of Jackson, Georgia and her son Paul R. Minter, of Stone Mountain Georgia. A memorial, interment and reception will be held on Saturday February 10th, 1p.m. at St. James United Methodist Church 4400 Peachtree Dunwoody Rd. Atlanta, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The North United Methodist Children’s Home, Tucker, GA. (umchildrenshome.org)
