Betty Lou “Lou” was born to John and Betty McDaniel in Chattanooga, TN on October 8, 1943.
She grew up in Birmingham, Alabama where she graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1962, and continued her Education at the University of Alabama.
She moved to Atlanta where she worked in many administrative fields through the course of her life and retired in 2021. She was a member of Stone Mountain Community Church.
Lou would always be found spending time with her family. She had a love for sewing and used her talents for all, creating pieces that will remain with family and friends for years to come. She had a true talent for baking and her Poundcake and Birthday Cakes were always in high demand. She loved Alabama football and would always be in “her spot” with the “correct shirt” on to watch every game. She was present at every one of her Grandchildren’s events and took pride in all of their activities. Lou was always described as funny, caring beyond measure, and was everyone’s Grandmother. She was immensely loved by all and fully embraced being an amazing Mother, Mother in Law, Sister, Aunt and Grandmother.

Sorry for your loss
Grandmother was a great lady. She SO loved hanging out with her kids. She loved on their friends as well. She always jumped in to help when needed. One of my fondest memories of her is when she and I had to make all the popcorn for a cheer competition. We had a blast and talked about how we were qualified to work a Disney popcorn cart. 🤣❤️
Grandmother Lou was a gentle soul who loved her family and friends. I feel blessed that we were among the ones she loved and supported. Even this week, I thought of her and her many talents. She will be missed!
We are so sorry for your loss. We had many opportunities at our granddaughter’s cheer activities to be with Lou. She was always so sweet. You knew she loved her family.
Elizabeth I am so very sorry for your loss your mom was a wonderful lady full of life and energy! Praying for you and your family.
So very sorry for your loss Susan … praying for your family.
I remember Lou from church when it was called North Atlanta church and we met in Midvale School and later Stone Mountain Church and now Cornerstone Bible Church in Lilburn but never knew her first name was Betty. She was a very talented and kind lady and I am sad for your loss.
