Obituary Clunis Miriam Reid, better known as “Ma. P” by her loved ones, became one of the Lord’s Angels on Friday, August 22nd 2014, at the age of 94. She was born April 22, 1920 and was a dedicated daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a child of God from birth to rebirth and was loved by all, and she whole heartedly loved her family. While in Jamaica, Ma. P was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Missionary Church, there she sang in the choir and participated with the Daughters of the King, teaching embroidery and crochet. In 1974 Ma. P moved to the Bronx, New York, where she was an active member of St Luke Episcopal church and participated in the Chancellor choir. Ma. P moved to Atlanta Ga. in 1991 and shortly thereafter became a member of Antioch AME church. She was an active participant of the Pastors Aide Board and the Antioch Seniors In Action Ministry (ASIA). Ma. P was a woman of God who loved the Lord and was not afraid to show and express her love for the Lord. She passed her blessings on by continuously providing support and love to the elderly and the sick who were hospitalized, by hand- making lap warmers for them during the Christmas season. She is survived by three sons and their wives, George (Pauline), John (Eunice) and Ever (Elaine), fourteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
