David Lee Adanich age 76, of Lilburn, Georgia passed away on Thursday July 27, 2023.
He was proceeded in death by his beloved wife Judy, his parents Henry and Ann Adanich, and his brother Roger Adanich. He is survived by his step-sister Angel and her husband Dennis Symon, his sister-in-law Sharon, his nieces Anna and Nikki, and his nephews Jeff and Michael.
Retired after 38 years from AT&T as a System Technician, Dave graduated from Valley Forge High School in Parma Heights and served honorably in the United States Air Force prior to working at AT&T. David loved making friends, and it was this gregarious nature that led him to become a licensed amateur radio operator in 1960. Dave, never one to sit idly by, participated in Community Emergency Response training, as well as Citizen’s Police and Fire Academy classes after retiring. It was this last that truly caught his and Judy’s attention, and they both began volunteering and eventually helping to lead the Gwinnett Citizen’s Fire Academy Alumni Association.
A memorial service will be held on August 13 at 2:00 PM at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30046, 770-277-4550.
