Edna Earle Maneol, age 86, of Lilburn, GA passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl William Maneol, Sr. and her parents, James & Flora Hazelwood. Edna is survived by her son, Carl William Maneol, Jr. and wife, Carol, of Lilburn, GA; grandchildren, Jeremy P. Maneol, Jason M. Maneol, Bonny S. Plemons, Libby Maneol, and Matthew Maneol; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Charles Hazelwood of CA; cousins, Pauline and _________. Edna proudly served in the U.S. Navy.

I often spent some time in conversation with Edna during my daily visits with my father, Richard at Eastside Gardens. She was one of the few residents who could remember my name so I was always impressed by that. I just want you to know that I enjoyed talking to Edna and that even though she had some challenges she was always happy to see me. Losing a parent at any age is not easy. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
Some of my fondest memories as a girl were Fridays at the Maneol’s. Edna and my mother Laura were work associates at General Motors in Lakewood Georgia. We would get together and all of us would have an end of the week Party. Carl, I am so sorry to hear about your mom, my mother died in 1991, with breast cancer. Hope you and your family are well, it is hard to believe after all this time we are almost neighbors again.
