Gayle Ann (Young) Boutin, 68, passed away February 15, 2016. Born in Warwick, RI, she spent her younger years by the water, married the love of her life and began her family. She was the General Manager of Hidden Hills Country Club for a number of years and opened Christmas House in Stone Mountain Village, where she was able to share her love of Christmas while working everyday with her family at her side. Gayle was a faithful Christian and devoted caregiver, who touched the lives of everyone she met. She found great joy in fostering newborns in the mid 80’s and caring for rescue dogs in recent years. She will be greatly missed. Gayle was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Dorothy Young, and is survived by her husband Rit, three boys Richard (wife Chan), Chris (wife Ansley), and Mike (wife Pam), and grandchildren, Lindsey, Avery, Cole, Julia, Jake, and Sean. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel with Dr. Charles Dunahoo officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 19, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and prior to the memorial service on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. My heart is heavy as I write this sad goodbye. A wonderful soul has been taken and an amazing family remains to endure the pain that death brings. Just smile knowing that Gayle was so love by so many. To a wonderful Wife, Mother and Friend, you will be missed.

Such a beautiful woman both inside and out. I have so many wonderful memories with Gayle, Rit, Richard, Chris & Michael. My prayers are with you all during this difficult time.
Gayle was one of the kindest, friendliest people I have ever known. She expressed such genuine warmth and concern for people who were privileged enough to cross her path. She gave generously and deeply of herself to so many people. We will miss her smile and laughter and look to the day when we will all be together again with joy in God’s presence. Our hearts and prayers are with you, Rit, and all your and Gayle’s family.
Bob and I and our family have so many wonderful memories of times in Hidden Hills, Christmas at Gayle’s house, birthday parties and so much more. She was a loving and giving person, a joy to know and will be missed.
Bob and I deeply sorry for your loss. Our prayers are with you and your family

When I first moved to the Atlanta area 15 years ago Gayle was one of the first people I met (at the store in Stone Mountain). She was friendly and welcoming and later when I found out she and I belonged to the same sorority she became a good friend. I am so sorry for your family’s loss and my prayers go out to you all. Chan thank you for keeping me informed. Beta love to you, Barb
Gayle was a gift to all of us. Sweet, kind, and funny. There is no way to express how much she will be missed. We will always love you.
To all of the Boutins – Gayle was a part of my world in one way or another since early high school. I will miss her smiles and hugs, as I know you will. She was always ready to listen and guide or laugh and tell stories… whatever the situation warranted. May the memories that you each have, and the knowledge that you are not alone in your grief, sustain you thru these darker days. You now have another guardian angel watching from Jesus’ side. Hugs and love to you all!
Our sincere condolences to you Rit, Richard, Chris and Michael!
What wonderful memories we have of Gayle & all of you when we lived and were neighbors in Hidden Hills! We will never forget her smile, her hospitality, her compassion for everyone!
She will be missed but will be remembered by everyone she had touched along the way!
May she rest in peace!
we want to extend our deepest sympathy for your loss. Our prayers are for you and your family,
Deeply sorry for your loss! May the Lord continue to guide and comfort you all through this hard time. Mike, I will be out of the country on business from tomorrow, the 18th and will not return until early March. I am so sorry I cannot attend the memorial service. I hope to catch up with you soon, old friend! Sending prayers!
I had the pleasure of knowing Gayle and her awesome husband for the last decade or so. I work for Publix Pharmacy and have taken care of them for as long as I can remember, I loved to see them shop together and laugh together and they included me in many stories and for that I am very grateful. I know how she lived for family, Christmas and Star Trek. She always was happy and kind and full of love. My heart is shattered, though my faith is strong. Heaven is just as blessed to have her as she is to have heaven.
There are truly so many wonderful memories of Gayle and your family from our many year of shopping at Christmas House. Our prayers will continue to be with you. We are heartbroken but know that we will see Gayle, again. Joyce, Brenda, and Barbara Lynn Hornaday.
I met Gail when she joined Beta Sigma Phi and I conducted her pledge training. We reconnected recently on Facebook. Our prayers go out to her entire family. May the Lord watch between me and thee while we are absent one from the other.
I went to school with Chris. So sorry to hear this. I loved their store in Stone Mountain Village and think of the family whenever I pass where the shop was. My love to you all and hopes that her memories bring you comfort. Thinking of yall so much.
Grandma Gayle was such a blessing in my life! She was a surrogate grandparent to our first child, Joseph, and a wonderful encouragement to me as a new mother. Her love for her family was always radiating from her. She was so kind and loved to laugh. I hope you all have a sweet time of remembering her. I am lifting you up to the Great Comforter and pray that you see Christ through His servants in the coming days.
Much love,
Kathleen Morris
Rit, I just can’t begin to tell you how much Gail’s friendship meant to me. I have never met a more genuine and kind person she has been such a wonderful influence in my life. I just cannot tell you how much I will miss her.
Deepest sympathies to all. Holding you in our thoughts and prayers.
Our hearts are heavy thinking of this great loss. We didn’t know Ms Gayle for long but we do know it wasn’t long enough! Her and her family recently welcomed us with opened arms and she will definitely be greatly missed.
We pray for peace and comfort in this time.
Love the Lower Family
My wife and I met Gayle and Rit many years ago when we all lived in Hidden Hills. Never was there a lady more devoted to her family, her neighbors and her friends. Gayle was the type to go the extra mile to help someone less fortunate. At some point. we all moved in different areas of the city so we lost contact with Gayle and Rit except for occasionally seeing Rit at a mutual friends house. Recently I was told by Rit that Gayle was also a patient at the Winship Cancer Center at Emory University. Rit, Gayle was a wonderful lady and will be missed by many people.
Thinking of y’all during this very sad time…. Chris, your mom was such a bright light and will be missed! I distinctly remember her sweet voice and warm smile. Praying for your family now and in the days ahead —- Heaven just got a lot brighter.
With sincerest sympathy,
Lori Bellanca Thacker and family

Our prayers and sympathy go out to your family in this time of loss.
We loved and appreciated Gayle’s enthusiastic efforts in making Hidden Hills and our Stone Mountain community a safer place to raise our children. We loved having the Boutins as good neighbors and supportive friends.
The Baumgarten Family
I feel so blessed to have become friends with Gayle in Junior High School and continue through High School. Our lives took us in different directions for many years. Nothing made me happier than reconnecting with her many years later when she and Rit visited RI. It was as if no time had passed at all. It was a joy to hear of her children and grandchildren and of her life with Rit in
Georgia. Her constant Facebook postings, family pictures, and updates on her travels gave me so much pleasure….a wonderful life for a wonderful couple. So many beautiful memories to fill the hole of in your heart, Rit. Our deepest condolences and prayers to you, Rit, and to your family. Love, Joan and Ray Dunn

Please accept my deepest sympathy on your loss. Although I didn’t know Gayle very well, I can still see her cheerful face and greeting whenever we were gathered at your house. She just seemed to have such a welcoming spirit.
