Mamaw was such an intelligent, charming & funny woman. It seems strange that she has left this earth. 97 years is a long time to just assume we would always see her I know, but her sweet soul was always felt at every family gathering and get together. She loved going to Christmas Bingo at Miss Carrie’s House and was always so complimentary about the desserts! She did have a “sweet tooth!” Her style was always so put together with coordinated jewelry, make-up and a stylish hairdo. I loved her decorated walker with a bell & flowers. We will always remember her fainting at Catherine’s ice skating birthday party…she stole the show with the EMT’s arriving. She was just a little overheated & needed a snack:) Her poems written for the grandkids had such love & emotion to them. She was very poetic. Janice you were the BEST Daughter Mamaw could ever hope for. You never let her down and cared for her with such grace in these later years. I know she 100% felt your deep love for her. It takes a true nurturer to be able to care for someone day in and day out. Janice please take solace in the fact that your Mom is in heaven with your Daddy & I’m sure she is directing Jesus about now. Bob, Libby was so thankful that you took such good care of your family. You were a wonderful son-in-law. Kevin, Zach & Natalie you brought Mamaw so much Happiness & Joy. If you ever get frustrated with a senior citizen, just remember how sweet your Mamaw always was to Everyone!!
    Lot of Love,
    Carrie, John, Ryan & Catherine

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. Psalm 116:15 KJV

  3. This is only my second year as a Friday volunteer at Grace Arbor.Little did I know that I would fall head over heels in love with all these participants. Little did I know that one special lady would touch my heart in such a big and special way.Libby just made my Fridays such a blessing. She came in dressed in her finest, matching jewelry, hair always coiffed, sometimes a pretty hat, and oh those cute shoes ..on those itty bitty feet! Libby shared the greatest stories with me of her exciting life, Her love for Janice and her grateful heart for a daughter that loved her so.I will miss Miss Libby so very much. But I assure you Janice, your mom was the BEST! May she rest in the peace In the arms of our loving God .

  4. CandleImageI never had the opportunity to meet you, but I’m certain you would have warmed my soul similar to my Mother’s influences.

  5. CandleImageJanice and Bob,
