James Marion Nossaman

James Marion (Jim) Nossaman passed away July 4th 2024 at the age of 88. He was born November 10, 1935 in Whitewright, Texas to Jack and Martha (Bow) Nossaman.
Jim graduated from Whitewright High School, he attended University of Texas for two years then transferred to Oklahoma University where he graduated. Jim was in the US Air Force Reserve 69 Troup Carrier out of Hensley Field in Grand Prairie, Texas for 6 years.
For many years Jim had a retail Gift store in Sherman Texas before joining a company called Walter Davis Inc. a company that represented high end table top and gifts such as Baccarat Crystal and Cookware like Calphalon. Jim became one of the owners of the company and traveled the U.S. and to Europe selling to such stores as Neiman-Marcus, Gumps, Frost Brothers and BC Clark of Oklahoma City. In 1988 Jim moved to Atlanta GA to become a partner in GR Eaton Inc. in which he retired from in 1998. Jim was a Christian and as a teenager he was a member of the Baptist Church in Whitewright but moved to the Methodist Church as they needed someone to play the organ.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Martha Nossaman, his sister Jackie Nossaman Kaiser and her son Chris Kaiser.
He is survived by cousins on his mother’side that live in Idaho and one that lives in Whitewright, Texas.
Jim was very fortunate to have two friends that have looked after and helped him and most important they shared their families with him., George Rusty Eaton and Ralph Catalan, both of Atlanta Georgia. In Lieu of Flowers we ask you to please donate to your local no-kill animal shelter in Jim’s name.
