Jean Baptiste Savoy

Jean (J.B.) Baptiste Savoy Much-loved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, Jean B. Savoy, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2014, at the age of 84. Born in Church Point, LA, he was the third of 12 children born to Justine and Raoul. He will be remembered for his unconditional love for his family, his strong character, his love of travel and of his Cajun culture. He was married to Nelda Savoy (deceased) for 57 years and is survived by daughter Jeanel and her husband Walt Haber, son Kendall and his wife Julie, daughter Keri and her life partner Patrick Welge, granddaughter Stephanie and her husband Adam Brinkman, granddaughter Lindsay, sister Genevieve, brothers Jessie, John and Francis. Jean was predeceased by his father, mother, sister Georgie, brothers Louis, Rodney, Whitney, Levy, Percy and Anthony. Services will be held at 11:00 am, June 26th, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Stone Mountain GA. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The United Way of America or The Red Cross.
