John Frederick Smith, age 81 of Loganville, GA, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017. A Celebration of Life in his honor will be held at 6 PM on Friday, May 5, 2017, at the Wayfarer Music Hall in downtown Monroe. We will start sharing stories about John at 7 PM. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Margaret Smith. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Deborah Smith; brother & sister-in-law, Alfred & Connie Smith; Children & their spouses, Lisa Smith, Roxy & Martin Gilley, Sean & Vanessa Smith, Tim & Jennifer Smith, Mya Smith & Jessica Smith-Dixon; Jenna & Adam Oglesbee; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, Katherine Jesmore & spouse Chris Jesmore, Stephen Smith, Graham Gilley, Eden Gilley, Amelia Smith-Dixon, and Mason Jesmore; and a host of other family members and friends.

Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. Uncle John will be missed greatly. Love and prayers to all his family.
I was honored to have John as my brother in law. He was a funny, kind and grumpy sole. He took all his endeavors very serious and gave everything in all that he did. John could be very competitive in games especially Spinner. He loved his family with all his sole and we will always miss him.
We loved John and are praying for all of his friends and his precious family!
