  1. My deepest sympathy for your loss. Our Heavenly Father Jehovah has promised to undo death by means of the resurrection, and to soon end all our suffering. (Rev. 21:3-5; John 5:28, 29) May His promises strengthen and comfort you during this difficult time.

  2. It is not going to be the same in the Home Department at Macy’s Gwinnett. Karen would sometimes be all over the place but of course she always tried to help everyone. Karen had this personality that would really make you think how did she keep it all together but she always had a piece of paper an pen. She would ask you your name until she knew you by face and from then she would call you by your name. Karen was a joy and this trip that she took to Rome was the highlight of her life. She kept telling me when she got back that she had not unpacked her suitcase but she had something for me from Rome. I will never know what it was because Karen probably never got a chance to unpack her bags. But of course she does not need anything now because she is having a wonder time with all the angels in heaven. Karen Rest in Peace.

  3. You will not be forgotten. The Macy’s Gwinnett team loved and missed you. You were a joy to be around, always have me and so any others laughing. So glad I met you and will always remember you. . RIP with the angels Karen. Love always.

  21. It was a such a pleasure knowing and working with Karen. In the short time ive known Karen. I’ve come to admire so much about her.She was always willing to go the extra mile to help anyone. Staying later than the end of her shift to ensure she did not leave any loose ends for another team member to pick up. I’d beg her to go home so I could finish it up for her. But she was so insistent that she had to put everything away. She had the ability to conmect with her customers. A wealth of knowledge to share with them. She had a great sense of humor, she would have a quick quip and the joke is on her. She would make you laugh so hard.. Her favourite expression. “Stop ittttttt” when you said something that she found interesting.. Oh my!! There are so many memories. To many to mention here. Macy’s Gwinnett will never be the same. Sleep on my friend and rest with the Angels.

  22. I am so sad to hear about Karen’s passing. It is really strange…I knew Karen from working at Gwinnett Macy’s from 1998 until I transferred to Buford Macy’s in 2004. She was always a character. Since I worked in Gift Wrap I would see Karen quite often since she was working in the China/Housewares dept. She was always entertaining to talk with and had quite a sense of humor. I had not seen Karen since I had left the Gwinnett Macys in 2004; however a couple of months ago I ran into her in the Walmart parking lot in Lawrenceville. She actually recognized me and started talking. I knew her immediately and we quickly caught each other up on what’s been going on with each other since 2004. At the time I thought I was so glad to have seen her since it had been so long. Now, when I hear the tragic news, I am particularly glad I got a chance to talk with her. She had not changed at bit. She was a very sweet, kind and vivacious person and I wish her much love and peace. I am so sorry she had to leave us so soon. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her, but she will have a wonderful life where she is going. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

  23. Karen, It was truly a blessing to have had the chance to know you and work with you . I enjoyed our time together and the employee outings/gatherings at SunTrust. You were truly an asset to the team and your laugh was and will always be unforgettable. I always loved to hear you introduce yourself to others always saying ” Karen Parr, P A R R”

    You will be missed!
    Rest in Peace

  24. I will truly miss seeing Karen running around at Macy’s. We worked together at Macy’s from 99 to 2002. Even though I wasn’t still working At Macy’s she was always friendly when she saw me and would deliberately call me by the wrong name “Maxine” and giggle…she said I looked like a Maxine. She helped me pick out my stemware…now every time I look at it l’ll think of her. May God comfort the family during this sad time and may Karen be at peace. Sharing your sadness.

  25. I’ve known Karen since I was a baby and have have nothing but the funniest stories and kindest thoughts of her. She was a loving person and lived life full of laughter, holding nothing back. She holds a special place in our family and no one will ever forget her. May memories bring you peace and carry you through.

  26. Karen, my best friend in the whole world. I miss you everyday. I know you are with Jesus enjoying Heaven but I can’t help wishing you were still here. You were the most special person I had ever known in my life. We shared some wonderful laughs and arguments together. Please save me a seat next to you in Heaven. Besties forever.
