Bernice Williams Kerby, age 75, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012. She is survived by her husband, James D. Kerby; daughters, Kim Wilkes and her husband, Wayne, Karol Powell and her husband, Bob; grandchildren, Capt. Joe Powell and his wife, Heather, Meagan Smedley and her husband, Gary, Mandy Butler and her husband, J.R., Kerby Wilkes and Jordan Wilkes; sister, Pat Langston and her husband, Buzz; sister-in-law, Margaret Williams. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 12 o'clock at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel with Dr. Alan Madden, Rev. Clarence Cannon and Wayne Wilkes officiating. Interment will be at Gwinnett Memorial Park in Lawrenceville. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Central Baptist Church, C/O INB, 250 Gwinnett Drive, Lawrenceville, GA 30046. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 from 5 o'clock until 9 o'clock at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway, Lawrenceville, 770-277-4550.   1. We were so sorry to learn of Bernice’s recent illness and were saddened to hear of her death. Bernice along with Charles R., Patsy and Miss Helen were a part of our growing up and we think kindly about them when their names are mentioned in our hearing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

  3. I am so sorry to learn that Bernice has left us so suddenly. She was such an inspiration and so caring to me while at Central Baptist. My heart goes out to James, Pat and the family. Truly one of the finest Christian women I’ve had the pleasure of meeting.

  6. So sorry to hear about Bernice’s passing. I always thought a lot of Bernice and really aprpeciated when she tried to help me find a job. I know she will be sorely missed. My prayers are with the whole family.

  9. I am so sorry to learn of Bernice’s passing. I worked with her at the Detention Center. She was such a sweet person. I thought a lot of her. I would be there, but I am out of town for a few days. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time.
