Lori Lynn Jones, age 66, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2024. Born on May 12, 1958, Lori was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many.
Lori had a deep passion for gardening, and her talent for nurturing plants and flowers was evident in every corner of her home. Her gardens were a reflection of her love for nature, filled with life and beauty, much like Lori herself. She found joy in cultivating both plants and relationships, tending to them with care, patience, and love. Lori also had a profound affection for animals, often welcoming them into her home and heart. Her compassion extended to all living things, and she found happiness in caring for her furry friends as much as she did for her plants.
Lori is survived by her devoted husband, John Jones; her loving son, Jarad Jones; her cherished daughter, Kerri Jones; and her beloved grandchildren, Abbey Jones and Connor and Jackson Springer. Her legacy of kindness, love, and connection to the earth will continue to inspire all who knew her.
A celebration of Lori’s life will be held on October 20th, 2024 at 2PM at the Wages and Sons Funeral Home Stone Mountain Chapel, allowing family and friends to gather, share memories, and honor the beautiful impact she had on their lives.
In lieu of flowers, Lori’s family kindly requests donations to local humane societies in her name, ensuring that her love for animals and her commitment to their care will continue in the community she cherished.
Lori will be remembered for her gentle heart, her love of the natural world, and the beauty she brought into the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed.

I am praying for you all and sending love to you in this incredibly difficult time.
Rest easy Aunt Lori
Lori was a light in a dark room. One of the few people that raises the spirits of everyone around her without even trying. She has been a great friend to my family and she will be missed. My deepest sympathies for John and the rest of the family.
Lori’s commitment and care in everything she did touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all of us. During this difficult time, our thoughts are with her family, friends, and loved ones as we remember the beautiful person she was and the lasting impact she had on those around her.
Sincerely,
Jim Loricchio
