She was an active member of the Decatur Civic Chorus and loved to sing hymns.

Mary enjoyed playing Bingo, and neighborhood card games in her later years. Her home was the host to many a holiday dinner. Her family loved her, and she loved her family. She was a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great-grandmother, and a friend to all.
