Phillip Joseph Spears, 59, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014.
He was born in Augusta, Georgia and grew up in and around North Augusta, South Carolina. He moved to Atlanta in 1981. For more than 20 years he spent his career as a pharmaceutical representative and later worked in retail sales, customer service and management.
He was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church. His courage, faith, humor, and beautiful spirit will be forever missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Malone Spears; Brothers, John Berry Spears, James Edward Spears (Susan); Sisters in law, Jane Westbrook (Larry), Patricia Hall (Tony); Aunt, Mrs. James Beck; Nieces, Avery Spears Mahoney (Michael), Autumn Hall, Casey Hall; Nephews, Travis Spears, Matthew Westbrook, Christopher Westbrook.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 29, 2014 at 11 AM at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 5801 Hugh Howell Rd., Stone Mountain, GA 30087. Rev. J. Caleb Clarke III, officiating.
Interment will be held at Arlington Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Patrick Mixon, Michael Mixon, Jim Beck, John Beck, Travis Spears, Michael Mahoney, David Mottel.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Wages & Sons Funeral Home, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy in Lawrenceville, GA.
