Rayburn Branch Britt, age 87 of Stone Mountain, Georgia, passed away Monday, October 11, 2021. Rayburn retired from General Motors after 35 years of service. He was an avid gardener known for his famous tomatoes. Rayburn was a mentor to many and fondly known as Papa and treated everyone as his own.

He is survived by his daughters Donna Gant and husband Eddie of Young Harris, GA; Christy Dilbeck and husband Mike of Sugar Hill, GA; granddaughters Jenny Anderson and husband T.J. of Young Harris, GA; Taylor Dilbeck of Sugar Hill, GA; Katelyn Dilbeck of Sugar Hill, GA; and great granddaughter Lainey Anderson.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, October 14, 2021, 2:00 pm at the Wages & Sons Stone Mountain Chapel, 1040 Main Street, Stone Mountain, GA 30083, with Rev. Billy Tison officiating. The visitation will be Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the Wages & Sons Stone Mountain Chapel. Interment will be at Floral Hills Memory Garden, 3150 Lawrenceville Hwy, Tucker, GA 30084 immediately following the service.
