Born Oct 17, 1915 Detroit, Texas to George Frederick Hollingsworth and
Ella Pearl Durham. "Jean " was the last of her siblings to survive: Alene, Ira, Georgia,
Van, Margie and Vade. Her family homesteaded in Baca County, Colorado.
She was the youngest in her graduating class of 1932 at 16 years in Springfield, Colo.
She first married Jared "Jay" Fuhriman and they became placer gold miners in Salida,
Colo. When gold dropped from $36 an ounce to $28 Jay drove heavy road equipment
taking them to Calif, to help build the Sante Fe Dam. Later he owned a roofing company
with his brother Jess. Of this union survive a daughter Jayme Cartmill of
Atlanta, Ga. And a son Van of Los Angeles, Ca. She leaves four grandchildren: Kevin
Cartmill Terrie, Shawn Cartmill Wendy, Holly Hooper Jerry and Heather Oliver
Doug. Eight great grandchildren: Hunter, Parker, Ella Oliver; Jake and Hollland
Cartmill; Ryan and Kate Cartmill; Christian Hooper. She loved her trusted friend and
caregiver of six years Mary Davis.. .all of Georgia. In California she was a member of
the philanthropic society Alpha Zeta Beta where she modeled in their fashion shows. She
was a member of Alhambra First United Methodist Church over fifty-five years and a
member of Pairs & Spares there. She served on the wedding committee. There she met
her second husband John Robertson. She leaves her step daughter Dorothy Collard of
Olympia Washington. A graveside service is planned this spring at Oakdale Cemetery,
Glendora, California. If desired contributions may be sent to Plymouth Harbor Day
