Rose Marianna Mackin, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away peacefully on July 21st, 2024. Born
on June 2, 1944, in New York City, Rose lived a life of devotion to Christ and her family.
Rose was a graduate of St. Vincent School of Nursing in Jacksonville Florida. She had a long
career as a Registered Nurse and worked with Dr. Robert Marsh and Dr. Aaron Hupman. After
moving from Miami Florida she became an active member of the Corpus Christi Catholic Church
parish in Stone Mountain, GA. St. Lawrence Catholic Church would later become her home
church of devotion after moving to Lawrenceville.
She was an active member of Stephen Ministries, St. Lawrence Widows Group, Women of the
Word, St. Lawrence Prayer Ministry, Thursday Morning Bible Study, Perpetual Adoration,
Women of Jerusalem Prayer Group, and the St. Pius Mother’s Bible Study.
She connected to community and friendship wherever she went including the BodyPlex gym
where she found loving support.
Rose’s heart was open to everyone she met. She was a loving bridge between all types of
people. Anyone who knew Rose had at least one thing in common. They were loved and
appreciated by her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Mackin Jr; her parents Vincent and Gladys
Patalano; and her brothers James and Vinny Patalano.
Rose is survived by her loving children: Sean Mackin and Brian Mackin (Arlene); her Sister
Rita Annese (Richard), and her granddaughters Seone Mackin and Remy Mackin.
Rose’s prayers were a living part of her devotion. She may be missed but her prayers have
found a new voice.

Aunt Rose was a beautiful woman inside and out. She always had a smile and cared about you. She really cared. She listened to you when you spoke with her full attention. She will be greatly missed and I’m so sad my children didn’t get to know her well. What an absolute angel we have lost.
I was Blessed to have known you Rose. you ALWAYS had a positive vibe about you and i will miss and love you forever!! Rest in Paradise 🙏🏽❤️
