Ruth Marie Hadler Batchelor, of Stockbridge, GA, peacefully passed away December 31, 2016 with her daughter and son-in-law by her side. She was born on May 29, 1926, in Greensburg, IN, daughter of Zelma and Harvey Hadler. She married John A Batchelor during WWII and they settled in Greensburg, IN. Ruth and John moved to Morrow, GA in 1978 to be close to their daughter, son-in-law and grandson. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross for many years, acquiring many pins and awards for her work. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and David Hadler, her brother. She is survived by her daughter, Marcia Batchelor Cartledge (Ben Cartledge), grandson Brian D. Cartledge (Angela D Cartledge) and triplet great grand children: Brynton Elyse, Henry Nathan, and Charlie Benjamin Cartledge. She is also survived by her brother Paul A Hadler of San Antonio, Texas and niece Kathy H.Kurtz (Fred Kurtz) of Avon; IN; nephews Garry Hadler of Greensburg IN; Marc C. Hadler (Trisha) and Derek S. Hadler of San Antonio Texas; and great nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at the Morrow Presbyterian Church in Morrow, GA on Friday, January 6. Visitation will be from noon to 1:20 p.m. with the memorial service at 1:30 p.m. Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to the Food Pantry of the Morrow Presbyterian Church, 6171 Huie Drive, Morrow, GA, 770-961-5444 or the American Red Cross.
