Ruth W. Blackwell, age 96, of Lawrenceville formerly of Smyrna, GA passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris J. Blackwell.   Ruth is survived by her son, Wayne Abercrombie and wife Kayla; daughter, Marthalyn McCurry and husband, Jimmy; grandchildren, Mary Beth Nolan, Stephanie Gibson, Robyn McGrew, Ian Abercrombie, Shira Olevsky, Jaron Olevsky, David McCurry, Darryl McCurry, Donald McCurry, and Dana McCurry; twelve great grandchildren, Lindsey, Jennifer, Adam, Meggan, Rachel, Mitchell, Payton, Taylor, Hunter, Lyndey, Candace, and Ethan;  and eleven great great grandchildren.  Mrs. Blackwell was a member of Mt. Paran Church of God.   A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Mt. Paran Church of God, 2055 Mt. Paran Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30327, with Dr. Kent Hawkins officiating.  Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Park in Atlanta, GA.  The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service at the church.  Online condolences can be expressed at www.wagesandsons.com

  2. I wanted to express the sadness I feel for your entire family. I know all the kids had a wonderful time growing up and having the support of your parents. You have made many memories I am sure and those memories will last forever.
