James Brown "Jimmy" Slaughter, Jr. age 76, of Newnan, GA passed away Monday, December 19, 2011. He is survived by sister, Pat Cumbie and husband Bobby of Newnan; brother, Charles "Chip" Slaughter and wife Cori of Buckhead, GA; nephews, Jesse Slaughter, Blair Cumbie, and Scott Long; nieces, Clystia Cumbie Bartman, Kathy Long Robertson, Jodie Probart, and Casey Walker. Mr. Slaughter retired from Lockheed Martin Corporation with almost 20 years of service, he loved antique cars and airplanes. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Wages & Sons Stone Mountain Chapel. Interment will follow at Redan Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Wages & Sons Stone Mountain Chapel 770 469-9811.
