Victor Latham Cooper, Sr., age 68 of Lawrenceville, GA peacefully passed away at home after a brief illness on Thursday, November 18, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Latham & Elaine Hagood Cooper and his aunt, Louise M. Cooper. He is survived by wife, Lynne F. Cooper; sons, Victor, Jr., and James Earl; brother, Walker L. Hawes (wife, Deborah).

Mr. Cooper graduated from South Gwinnet Highschool in 1972 and then attended Young Harris College. He continued his educating at DeVry Institute in 1987. He retired from Gwinnett County DOT (traffic signal division). He enjoyed spending time with family, especially for Sunday meals. Hobbies included refinishing antique furniture, restoration of cars, vacationing in Panama City Beach and North Georgia mountains. In addition, he was known for his ‘Cooper biscuits’. He had a close bond with his dogs Bubba & Daisy and cat, Spooky.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bridgeway Hospice, 2000 Riverside Parkway Suite 107 Lawrenceville, GA 30043. Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 3:00PM on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, with the funeral service to immediately follow at Wages & Sons Funeral Home, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway Lawrenceville, GA 30046. Interment to follow the service Shadowlawn Cemetery on Atha Street in Lawrenceville, GA.
