Doyle Franklin Whiteaker 78 of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on Tuesday, June 24, after a 3 year battle with liver cancer. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Suzy, brothers Donald and Dolan Kay Whiteaker of Crossville, TN, Terry Mary Whiteaker of Andersonville, IN. He is survived by his daughter, LaVonne, grandsons Wayne Hubbard of Lawrenceville, GA and Adam Stephanie Kissel of Asheville, NC; aunt, Lou Talent of Cookeville, TN, brother Billie Ray Juanita Whitaker of Crossville, TN, sister Margie Johnson of Manchester, TN, sister-in-law Lou Hollis Bryant of Cookeville, TN, nieces Sherrye Daryl Winnet and Lou Ann Mark Herberman both of Cookeville, TN, Angela Lansdrum, Megan Kyle Elmore, April Ritzman, and Brenda Billy Gluff all of Crossville, TN, nephews Kevin and Chris Johnson and niece Kim Osborne of Manchester, TN and nephew Terry Wayne Whitaker of Andersonville, IN, several great nieces and nephews, cousins and many, many devoted friends who will miss him greatly.
Doyle fondly known as "Chief" lived a rich full life with many interests including ham radio WB4WHG, stamp collecting, reading he loved science fiction, photography, computers, listening to all kinds of music and especially watching the University of Tennessee Volunteer Football Team. GO BIG ORANGE!
A celebration of Doyle's life will be held at a later date. The family asks for no visitors at this time. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the church or charity of your choice.
