William Harold “Andy” Anderson, passed away in his home in Lawrenceville where he and his wife Julia Nell Anderson lived a happy life beginning in 1957, in Jacksonville FL.

He was a graduate of Hoke Smith High School, Atlanta, Class of 1955. He attended Georgia Tech where he studied Chemical Engineering and continued throughout his life interested and learning these skills. He started his enthusiasm and joy of Sound at the Fox Theater as an usher while attending GA Tech. Sometime after his time at Georgia Tech, he entered into the Navy and studied electronics performing repairs & maintenance for the Navy ships as they entered into Jacksonville, FL and kept everyone on board happy by repairing shipmates TV’s, Radios and other electronics for free in his spare time providing a vast knowledge of consumer electronics.

He worked at Baker Audio from Dec 1958 thru August 1973, as Service Manager then proceeded as Sales Executive. Designing, selling & supervising sound systems for events like, The Beetles First Live Atlanta Concert in 1965 which he was the sound engineer on site for this performance. He performed oversight of the Atlanta Fulton County Braves Stadium with installations of Sound Speakers being installed by the family of installers. He performed Sound Checks for most venues to include Braves Games and Many Concerts and Public Speaking Events. He attended many events with well-known
performers as sound engineer for events at Theater under the stars.

In 1974 he moved forward to Executone, at that time they were big into telephone systems and Nurse Call System which he designed throughout the state of Georgia. Selling, instructing on use of these systems and repairing as needed for his clients. Later Andy & Nell started Audio-Tech, Inc. May 1, 1976 where he was Owner, CEO and President and he performed many levels of business which included design, sell and service of Professional Audio Systems, Nurse Call Systems, TV Distribution Systems & School Intercommunications Emergency Systems. The company had a number of employees which most were trained by Andy and a fleet of vehicles out installing & servicing the metro Atlanta and State of Georgia occasionally going out of state. He was self-taught in AutoCAD to perform work for Engineers and Owners and included Instructions for the installations of systems that he designed. Andy especially took pleasure in reading, and the ability to perform construction interior works within his home by finishing his basement, which he lived most of his days and nights.

Preceded in death by Wife of 64 years Nell Anderson, Step Parents Maple & Shufford Smith. His mother passed shortly after his birth.

He leaves behind, Two Daughters, Debra Kathleen Walden of Duluth GA, and Charlotte Anderson of Lawrenceville, GA, 2 grandchildren Linda & Husband Brad Dameron, Fred & Wife Tiffany Russell and 5 great grandchildren Austin Russell, Alexis & Husband Malachi Wheeler, Joshuah Griggs, Nicholas Griggs & Jacqueline Dameron.
