Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Joe was a character in the truest sense of the word. We knew the Wilsons from our stint in Ft. Lauderdale, and became close through mutual interests. Both Joe and Mary Lou were talented artists and astute antique collectors and dealers. Anything needing done, Joe would say, “I can do that.” whether or not he had ever done it before. And eventually, he could! He will leave a vacant space in the world as well as in the heart.

  2. Joe, your art work covers the walls of the shop. Always looked forward to the cards. Thanks for all the airplane drawings, they will be enjoyed by all who visit. Miss you.

  3. I will always remember Joe as the master of the project! Whether it was fixing, restoring or creating.. his spirit was contagious! My fondest memory was when I was a teenager and he was showing me how to tie different types of knots. When I *didn’t get it*, he would smile and show me again. Today, I don’t remember the knots….but I still marvel at those burly hands looping the rope so gracefully :-

  4. Dear Kelly Jo, I wrote this last night, but can’t find it todeay. You may see it twice or not at all, depending on how inept I am on this machine. I was so sorry to hear about Joe.Last time I saw him, we were laughing at some t.v. show at Liz’s house. Haven’t seen him in awhile, but understand he hasn’t been well. I will be thinking of you and your family and you will be in my prayers. God bless you, Judy

  5. Joe Wilson has been a close friend of my family since I was a child. His beloved wife, Marylou, was one of my Mom’s dearest friends. A quiet man, Joe could often be found helping set stuff up, helping clean up, and fixing stuff. He was one of those guys who was a “doer” and not a talker. He was a big man with a bigger heart who bore an uncanny resemblance to Kenny Rogers. He will be missed.

  6. Uncle Joe you will be missed, lost contact for years but never in my heart . I have very fond memories of You & Aunt MaryLou. Dad & Vivian are now living close to me and we will be going to your grave site next month. We love & miss you
