Charles Thomas Winsell Sr., 66 of Snellville, Ga., passed away Monday May 28, 2012. He is survived by wife; Thelma Winsell, children; Lynn Winsell, Tommy Winsell; stepsons; Brian Winters, Darren Winters; stepdaughters; Rosemary Mercier, Ruthanne Shepherd. He is also survived by a brother Carl Winsell, 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Friday, June 1at 3:00 p.m. at Providence Church in Duluth, Ga. with Pastor Ty Blackburn officiating. The body will lie in state at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations may be made to Providence Church, 2146 Buford Hwy., Duluth, Ga. 30097. Graveside service will be held at Greenhill Cemetery in Waynesville, N.C. at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 2. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy., Lawrenceville, Ga. 30046. Lynn, I am so sorry for the loss of your father. You have my heartfelt condolences. Your memories will warm your heart and be a part of you forever.
Charles fought a courageous battle and now that he has left many with sadden hearts, who really won the battle. Charles won. He has gone on before us to a land of no sickness. A land full of joy. Charles was a great customer and became a kind friend. He will be missed.
Lynn my thoughts of understanding go out to you and your family. I have heard you speak of your father often and have had the opportunity to chat with him upon several occasions, this was always a great pleasure. It has been a joy to be “bowl-ed” over by what Christ has done in and through Charley in the past year. Thelma, we all esteem to be as supportive and loving towards others as you have been with Charley. You have been a tremendous testimony of the love of Christ in you. May our Lord richly cover you with His mercy and be your constant companion during this season.
