Charlotte Ann Pope was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Virginia Atherton, and by her beloved husband, Jack Pope. She is survived by her daughters, Holly (Greg) Pines and Mandy (Wayne) Anderson; her grandchildren, Sarah LeBaron, Dylan Pines, Dawson (Graceanna) Pines, Logan Anderson, and April Anderson; along with many other cherished family members and friends.

After moving to Atlanta, Charlotte married the love of her life, Jack Pope, at Haygood Memorial Methodist Church in June of 1968. Four years later, they welcomed their first daughter, Holly, and in 1980 their family was made complete with the birth of Mandy.

Throughout her life, Charlotte worked to help provide for her family, but her greatest joy was being a devoted stay-at-home mom and, later, helping care for her beautiful grandchildren. One of her favorite pastimes was her Avon business, where she formed friendships she treasured until the very end.

Charlotte’s life was centered on family, friendship, and love. She was known by many name- “Mom,” “Second Mom”-but “Nana” was her favorite. That title extended far beyond her own grandchildren and family, as she welcomed so many into her heart.

Though she will be missed immensely, her family finds comfort in knowing she has returned home and been joyfully reunited with her beloved Jack.

Celebration of Life information will be shared at a later date.
