George Coker, affectionately known as “Butch,” age 67, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, passed away on March 17, 2026. He was born on January 5, 1959, in Columbia, South Carolina.

Butch was a man of quiet strength, deep faith, and steady loyalty. He received his education through high school before answering the call to serve his country in the United States Navy. He was trained as a sonar technician and served aboard the USS Sellers (DDG-11), where he demonstrated dedication and discipline in his service.

Following his time in the Navy, Butch built a successful career as a Regional Sales Manager, earning the respect of colleagues through his reliability, integrity, and strong work ethic.

Outside of work, he found joy in riding motorcycles and playing golf. He was known for his dry, witty sense of humor and his calm, gentle nature. A faithful Christian and member of 12Stone Church, Butch lived his life guided by faith, kindness, and a genuine care for others.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Betty Coker, and his sister, Tammy Silar.

Butch is survived by his loving wife, Marie Coker; his daughters, Casey Deal and Chelsey Bagwell; and his six cherished grandchildren. He also leaves behind extended family members and friends who will remember him for his quiet strength, steady presence, and compassionate heart.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the 12Stone Church Lawrenceville Campus, 1322 Buford Drive, Lawrenceville, GA 30043.

Butch’s life was marked by faithfulness, humility, and love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.
