Margarita Elena Rodriguez Aleman of Grayson, Georgia, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after a valiant fight due to a sudden illness.
She was born in Sagua La Grande, Cuba, on September 18, 1952. At the age of nine, she miraculously escaped the socialist and communist. She initially lived in Queens, New York, with her Uncle and Aunt for four years until her parents and sister were also able to escape Cuba and reunite with her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Armando and Maria Rodriguez.
She is survived by her loving family: her sister, Sully, and husband Carlos Llanes; her son Alex and his wife Carrie Aleman; her son Braulio and his wife Marie Aleman; her grandchildren, Christina, Chloe, Avery, Idaleigh, and Elias; her nieces, Susie Phillips and Sully Meeks; her nephew, Carlos Llanes; and her precious extended family and loved ones. Including her cat, Emma that hated everyone except for her.
Margarita was a loving mother and friend who was always willing to open her home to those in need. She cherished every opportunity to spend time with her family, whether attending plays and recitals or sitting around the table with her infectious laugh and playing cards.
Her absence leaves our hearts less full and deeply wounded, but we rejoice in knowing she is in our Father’s arms. Through the blood of the Lamb that was shed for each and every one of us, we will see her again.
She has finished her race and received her crown of life. Though we grieve her absence, we rejoice in her eternal home with the Lord.
