Urmila Patel, originally from Sunav, India, immigrated to the United States with her family in 1979. She will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, and a woman whose strength and joyful spirit touched everyone around her.
Affectionately known as “tiny but mighty,” Urmila was a strong-willed fighter with a goofy, silly personality and a gift for finding something to laugh about. Her smile brought warmth to those around her, and her deep love for her family was at the heart of everything she did. She faced life with remarkable resilience, never losing the spirit and humor that made her so special.
Urmila is survived by her beloved husband, Jayantibhai Patel; her children, Dipal, Nimesh, and Nayan; her son-in-law, Ritesh; her daughter-in-law, Hina; and her cherished grandchildren, Veeral, Ashee, Anisha, and Akhil, as well as her beloved granddogs, Cookie and Luna. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter-in-law, Roopal, and granddog, Raja.
Though she will be deeply missed, her laughter, strength, and boundless love will live on in the hearts of her family forever. She will always be remembered as their beloved Ujam.
