Ann Tidwell

Ann Tidwell (Nana) of Lawrenceville, Georgia, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. Ann was born in Banks County, Georgia in 1933. She married the love of her life, Bobby Lee Tidwell, on February 24, 1951. Ann was a wonderful homemaker and loved to sew and was an excellent cook. She was a loving mother, wife, and Nana. She was a mother of five. Ann was a wonderful storyteller and loved to write of her childhood growing up in Atlanta on Lucille Avenue. Ann wrote many stories about her children growing up and all her stories were enjoyed by all. She was devoted to her church and enjoyed worshiping the Lord and talking about her walk with Jesus. She was deeply loved and will dearly be missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her son, Richard Tidwell; mother, Imogene (Caudell) Ayers; and father, Orville Ayers. Ann leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Teresa Tidwell, Philip Tidwell (Rachel), Nancy Woods (Dale) and Lisa Kemmer (Powel), her grandchildren, Anna, Ashlee, Ryan, Elysa, Kaitlyn, Joseph, and Wesley, 13 great grandchildren, and siblings, Vern Ayers, Barbara Browning and Steve Ayers.

Bobby and Ann loved each other deeply and were together 72 years. Their celebration of life on the anniversary of their marriage on February 24 is a true love story. The last few years they were side by side until they passed into glory two days apart. They enjoyed their friends and family and always helped anyone in need. They will be missed by all.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Bobby & Ann Tidwell will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023, at Wages & Sons Funeral Home located at 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30046. Visitation 12-2 pm. Service at 2 pm.
