Barbara Alice Jersawitz

Barbara Jersawitz, born on July 14, 1937, in Dale County, Alabama, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2024, in Athens, Georgia. She was a vibrant spirit whose warmth and generosity touched everyone she encountered.

Barbara dedicated her life to her family, showering her husband, Charles Jersawitz, and their three children—Tom, Cathy (and her husband Randy), and Missy—with unwavering love and support. She found immense joy in her role as a grandmother to Jake and Josh Kidd, cherishing every moment spent with them.

Barbara was the life of the party, known for her infectious laughter and her ability to make everyone feel welcome in her home. Her kindness and love extended beyond her family, creating a sense of belonging for all who entered her life.

A memorial service will be held in her honor at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Wages & Sons Funeral Home (1031 Lawrenceville Highway Lawrenceville, GA 30046), followed by a reception.

The family then invites everyone to join them for a more informal gathering at La Cazuela in downtown Lawrenceville (179 W Crogan St).

In celebration of Barbara’s bright spirit, the family encourages attendees to wear bright colors.
