Carol Ann Weaver Christman, beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother, passed unexpectedly but peacefully on February 18, 2024. Carol was born December 15, 1938, to Harold and Eathle Weaver in Dayton, Ohio. She graduated from Jefferson High School as valedictorian in 1956. She moved with her family to Stone Mountain, Georgia in June of 1969. She lived in the same house in Smoke Rise for 54 years. Carol earned a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems at Georgia State University and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1986. After graduating, she got a job at Oxford Industries in downtown Atlanta where she made many friends working as a computer programmer and a project manager until she retired in 2006. She played ALTA for many years, serving as team captain for several seasons, and made many life-long friends. In her later years she enjoyed weekly card games and book clubs with these same friends. She was a proud mother to her six children: Scott (wife Jackie), Jenny (husband Steve), Jeff (wife Nancy), Terri (husband Jimmy), Tammy (husband Glenn) and Jill (late husband David). She was also a proud “Nanny” to her 12 grandchildren: Jon, Jamie, Ashley, Amanda, Ansley, Brandon, Lindsay, Meagan, Melissa, Melinda, JD, and Sarah, as well as 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 5 nieces and nephews. Her family will miss her so much and will forever cherish the memories they share because of her. Carol is remembered for her love of music, books, birds, flowers and butterflies. She loved having her family together. Her friends were also such an important part of her life. Carol is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Eathle Weaver, and brother Eugene Weaver.
