Carole Stevens Stradley

Carole Stevens Stradley, 76, of Clarkston, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019. She was born on March 3, 1943 in Wilmington, North Carolina to the late Helen King Plummer and Hamilton Wright Stevens, Jr. She was a volunteer for several years and then became the In-school Suspension teacher until her retirement in 2008 from Clarkston High School. She was well loved and respected by all those that worked with her. She enjoyed sing alto in the Clarkston Baptist Church choir for 30 plus years. She was an active member of her Sunday school classes and enjoyed working with the babies also. “Bigmomma” loved to teach her grandchildren how to “piddle or mess around” and crocheting. Her favorites hobbies were reading and crochet while watching the Braves play on T.V. She played bridge with many different groups and enjoyed them all. Survivors include her husband, James W. Stradley Sr.; son James W. Stradley Jr., daughter-n-law Delene and children Jamee and Deeann; Daughter Caroline Stradley Nichols, husband Steve and children Lauren, Leah and Heath. Daughter Suzanne Stradley Ruggiers, husband Frank and son Joseph. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at 4:00 pm with a visitation one hour prior.
