Charles August Jung

Charles August Jung, 82, died on Nov 24. He had a 27-year career with the US Navy, retiring as a Captain. He earned a Masters Degree in Public Health Admin and devoted his life to improving health care quality for all people, with a long career with the Department of Health and Human Services. Charles loved to play tennis with his ‘tennis buddies’ each week at Marist. Charles was married to the former Mary Frances Edgerton for 59 years and raised three children, Cathy Balmer, Carolyn Allen, and Andy Jung. He had five loving grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A private service was held on Nov 28. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charles memory to the OPC Food Pantry at Suthers Center For Christian Outreach, 3550 Broad Street, Suite F, Chamblee, GA, 30341.
