Christy Sevier King

Christy Sevier King, age 74 of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019. Mrs. King was born on August 17, 1944 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a 1962 graduate of Coffee High School in Florence, Alabama and attended Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia. She retired after 11 years as a receptionist for the Mcgraw-Hill companies and after 10 years of service as a cashier for the Kroger company. Mrs. King was a member of Snellville United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by parents, James Rollins Sevier and Ilma LaBar Sevier; brother, John K.B. Sevier. Christy is survived by husband of 36 years Martin L. King of Lawrenceville; daughters, Margaret R. Whitfield of Atlanta, Elizabeth I. Whitfield of Roswell and Caroline B. King of Lawrenceville; sons, Richard F. Whitfield, Jr. (Elaine) of Decatur and Walter H. King of Lawrenceville; granddaughter, Desiree A. Jones of Roswell; brothers, James R. Sevier, Jr. (Nancy) of Franklin, TN and Frank L. Sevier (Debbie) of Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family requests no flowers to be sent to the funeral, but suggests a donation to a charity of your choice.
