Darrell Stephens, beloved son, husband, father, and brother, passed away on October 30, 2023, at the age of 63. He was born on December 30, 1959, to his parents Julian Stephens and Alline Stephens (formerly Alline Underwood).

Darrell’s life was marked by love, laughter, and a deep commitment to his family and friends. He was a dedicated son, a devoted husband, and a loving father. His spirit and enthusiasm for the Georgia Bulldogs were infectious, and he shared his passion with everyone he met. Darrell’s presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Darrell is survived by his father, Julian Stephens, who cherished his son’s unwavering passion for sports. He leaves behind his loving spouse, Stephanie Stephens, who was a source of strength and joy in his life. Their daughter, Jessica Kannigiser, and her husband, Craig, were the pride and joy of Darrell’s life, and he beamed with love and pride for them every day. Darrell is also survived by his brother, David Stephens, and sister-in-law, Cam. He is further survived by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Stan and Krista Garner, who were not only family but dear friends. Darrell was preceded in death by his mother, Alline Stephens, whose love and guidance shaped his character, and his siblings, Bill Stephens and Sharon Stephens, with whom he shared countless cherished moments.

Darrell’s Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 4th, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel, located at 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy., Lawrenceville, GA 30046. Darrell was a passionate and lifelong fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, and he cherished every moment spent supporting his beloved team. In his memory, he asked that everyone “suit up” as he did for every game, and to wear the iconic red and black or Georgia Bulldog attire to his service.
