Derrick was born in Fulton County, GA at Northside Hospital on March 19, 1972 living in Lilburn most of his childhood, graduating from Parkview High School, in 1990. Derrick was very industrious, spending some years successfully running his own landscaping business. Derrick then followed his sister into construction accounting where he happily worked for many years. Derrick spent the last three years working in accounting at Majors Management where he developed many friendships. Derrick loved working with these folks.
Derrick was an avid fan of the Gwinnett Braves and loved cheering them on with his wife, Tracie, his father and his sons. Derrick loved everything about cars, reading about them, discussing them with his Dad and trading them. Derrick also loved Lake Lanier sharing great fun with his sister and all of their children. Derrick and Tracie could be found every weekend scouring the Atlanta area estate sales seeking out the best treasures. Most of all Derrick loved Halloween, he loved decorating their house in the classiest, scariest manner, making Tracie watch all his favorite scary movies; they even married on Halloween.
Derrick was one of a kind and left a cherished footprint on all of our hearts.
