Dorothy Lee Terry

Dorothy Lee Terry of Loganville, GA passed away peacefully on July 3rd, 2022 at the age of 89. She was the daughter of Henry and Eva Terry and the beloved sister of the late Hazel Evelyn Terry and Nell Terry Maxey.

Dorothy attended Murphy High School and spent many years working in the health care industry. Dorothy was a compassionate woman with a great sense of humor who was full of love for her family and friends. She loved the role of “Aunt Dot, spending time and taking care of her nephews and nieces whenever she had the chance. Her caring and compassion turned out to be her calling as she retired to take care of her mother who needed full time care; she also stayed by the side of both of her sisters, Evelyn and Nell helping to care for them as they battled failing health. She will be missed by many, especially her nephews Bo, Vic, Don (Hollie), and niece Lisa (John). and her great nieces and nephews Butch, Heather, Billy, Zach, Crystal, Matthew, Lindsey, and Melissa, who blessed her with 16 more beautiful nieces and nephews. Dorothy also leaves behind her dear friend and life long partner Ken Kurfman.

The celebration of Dorothy Terry’s life will take place on Saturday, August 27th, 1:00 PM at Wages Funeral Home 1031 Lawrenceville Highway, Lawrenceville, GA.
