Florence Jean (Tyrrell) Gordon

Florence J. Gordon, 93, passed away peacefully on August 8,2018, following a brief illness. Born on April 2, 1925, in Albany, she was the daughter of Eugene and Jessie (Hutton) Tyrrell. Florence grew up in Clinton Heights and attended Columbia High School, graduating in 1942. She was the devoted wife of 60 years to Lewis H. Gordon, who predeceased her in 2008. Florence resided in the East Greenbush area most of her life, where she enjoyed her treasured friends and family, prior to moving to Dacula, Georgia four years ago. She is survived by her two daughters, Gayle (Anthony) DeLucia of Dacula, Georgia and Laurie (Russell) Tooker of Grafton, New York, two grandsons and three great grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 175 Williams Road, North Greenbush, at 10 am. Interment will be in the East Greenbush Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Florence’s name to the Gwinnett Medical Center Foundation, reference Extended Care, 1755 N.
