Jerry Dennis Wood, age 78, passed away in his Decatur home on July 13, 2020 after a brave battle with Alzheimer’s. He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years Shelia Wood. Mr. Wood is survived by his sons Stephen, Brian, and David. Jerry was an Air Force veteran and worked at Georgia Power for 37 years. His hobbies included gardening and watching Georgia Tech football. Visitation will be at Wages and Sons Funeral Home in Lawrenceville on Thursday, July 16 from 9-10:30 am. This will be immediately followed by a graveside funeral at Gwinnett Memorial Park.

I am saddened by the loss of my 1st Cousin Jerry. Our families visited a lot when we were young, Jerry and I were close in age ,so we went to high school together. I didn’t know your Dad had gotten I’ll and I’m so sorry! Please take care and try to stay in touch.
