Johnny E. "Pete" Strickland age 74 of Lawrenceville passed away November 21, 2017. Pete was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Strickland and brother, Bruce Strickland. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Susan Strickland; sons, Michael Strickland (Lori), Tucker, GA and Steven Strickland, Tucker, GA; mother, Lottie Strickland, Callahan, FL; brother, Larry Wayne Strickland (Gloria), Tallahassee, FL; sisters in law, Janice Bond (Pat), Nancy Arnold (Tom), Linda Bond (Joey) and many nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Father John T. Howren will serve as Celebrant. Burial to follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at St. Lawrence Catholic Church 319 Grayson Hwy. Lawrenceville, GA 30046. In lieu of flowers please make donations in memory of Johnny E. We will miss Pete so dearly. He loved everyone unconditionally and found contentment and joy in being surrounded by family and friends. Mrs. Strickland so sorry for you loss . Janice and I were reminiscing over stories of our child hood and of course Pete can up. He was so funny and kind… God blessed you with a jewel… Jane L Kersey
