Lain J. Morgan (Plum), age 70, passed on Sunday, October 03, 2021. He was surrounded by his family and many prayers. He was born May 11, 1951, in Buffalo, NY, the son of Lain Morgan and Lottie Shelton. Lain entered the U.S. Air Force and served for 9 years with an Honorable Discharge. He continued his education at Troy State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business and Management with a focus in Business Administration. Later, he retired from the Internal Revenue Service, after 35 years. Lain married his wife, Delia Tate of Burlington, Massachusetts, in October of 1980. They would have celebrated 41 years of marriage on the 17th of October 2021. In 1990, the family settled in Stone Mountain Georgia, where Lain resided for over 31 years as a loving brother, loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers: Clarence Morgan and Louis Shelton. He is survived by his wife Delia; and 2 daughters: Tianna Morgan and Keyarra Morgan. Grandchild: Aiden Morgan. Brothers: John Henry Morgan and Ronald Morgan. Sisters: Anniaei (Truna) Samuel and Wanda Jean Morgan. He also leaves to mourn several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, cousins, and friends. The family will celebrate his life in Buffalo, New York in 2022 and continue to carry on his legacy and honor.

Lain was so personable. I believe he could talk to anybody. Me and my husband had the opportunity to meet Lain at the Department of Treasury. He was a man of integrity and a pleasure to be around. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends. May the peace of God rest on everyone concerned in Jesus’ name.
