My condolences to everyone. She was my childhood friend. She was an amazing Woman and loved sports more than any Woman I know. She truly loved her family very verymuch. This news hit everyone hard here In Springfield. May you find comfort in the scriptures and each other.

Marcel was not only a beauty, but very smart and intuitive. She loved life, cooking, her family, and being physically active. I am going to miss my friend/co-worker. Though you may be gone, your memory will live on in our hearts forever.

Words can’t express how sorry I am to hear about Marcel. My prayers go out to her family. I admired Marcel so much! Our lives were similar in the sense we both started out as young girls living in “Reed Village” Housing projects in Springfield, MA being raised by strong, single black mothers. We both spent most of our life single but living life to the utmost. I was so happy for her when she finally met her Boaz and got married, it gave me hope. It was a pleasure knowing her as a young girl and thanks to Facebook, as an adult woman. May she have Blessed Peace in Heaven.
