Mary Jacqueline “Jackie” Fowler, age 76 of Lilburn, passed away Friday, July 19, 2024. Jackie was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Fowler, her father, James W. “Jack” Tweedell and her mother Frances Young Tweedell and is survived by her son William Brian Mitchell and her daughter Mandy Mitchell North, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Jackie was a volunteer for the auxiliary at Eastside Hospital in Snellville, and had previously worked at Cofer Brothers Lumber Co. Jackie loved Southern Gospel Music and grew up as a child playing piano in the church across from her childhood home in Stone Mountain, where she will be laid to rest. Jackie was a 1965 graduate of Stone Mountain High School. Her passions were her flowers and her “little people with fur” (her dogs). She took pride in her beautiful yard full of flowers.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Bethel Baptist Church, 1147 Panola Rd, Stone Mountain, GA 30088. Interment will follow in Bethel Community Cemetery.

    • CandleImageSorry to hear about Jackie passing. She was a classmate of mine at Stone Mountain High and we sit close to each other in a lot ot classes over the years. She was a very precious person during those years to me. I was friends with her on Facebook but did not realize it was her because of the last name until she passed. I will miss her on FB and I am sure she will be missed by her family. May God give you all strength thru this time of grief

  3. So sorry for your loss. Jackie was part of a fabulous heritage. I remember her playing the piano at Bethel. She also road the bus to School with me. My sincere condolences to her family. May God fill that void in your hearts with his amazing love.

  4. I can’t tell you how sorry I am to hear this! Thismakes me very sad! We had such good times when I lived in Georgia and they all came ru as hung back today as I was viewing this entry. Jackie and I were so close when the kids wereittle and I thank God I had the time I did with her!! She was so much fun and crazy as me. I’ll never forget those times. I will cherish them forever. Brian and Mandy you will be in my prayers and thoughts I pray God will comfort you and leave you with great memories of your mom. I have so many of all of you! I send my love!
